Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received many grants and has been honored with many national and international awards. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to children who are victimized by the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
